Paul Gallagher, brother of Oasis stars, charged with rape and other offences

Paul Gallagher, the 59-year-old older brother of Oasis members Noel and Liam Gallagher, has been charged with multiple serious offences, including rape, sexual assault, coercive and controlling behaviour, intentional strangulation, threats to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred between 2022 and 2024, leading to a police investigation that commenced in 2024. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a woman involved in the case is receiving support from specially trained officers.

Gallagher, who resides in East Finchley, London, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 27. He has not yet entered a plea. Notably, he has no professional connection to Oasis but is known for his 1997 book, Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis, which details his upbringing with Noel and Liam. The charges against Gallagher emerge during Oasis’s reunion tour, their first live shows together in the UK since 2009. The tour began in Cardiff and includes performances in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and other cities.
